The idea of providing wheelchairs for disabled kids in distressing circumstances was originally formed at the Rotary Club of Surfers Sunrise with chairs made partly of components retrieved from salvaged bicycles.
Other Rotary Clubs joined and the project grew. The Rotary Club of Scarborough, Western Australia and the Christian Brothers, initially partly financed by the Rotary Club of Surfers Sunrise, took the project a stage further by developing a low cost model made from new materials. more?
